TDEX's food pack campaign in Sudan reached families in need through local sourcing, storage, packing, and distribution stages.

Many families in Sudan struggle to meet their daily basic food needs. TDEX carried out a comprehensive food pack campaign to respond to this need. The campaign was not a single delivery; it was a carefully planned four-stage process from procurement to distribution. Procurement stage In the first step of the campaign, the team sourced essential food items from local markets and grocers. Staples such as rice, sugar, oil, canned goods and similar basic necessities were purchased from local vendors, supporting the local economy while reliably securing the products families needed. Transport and storage The purchased items were stored under proper conditions ahead of distribution. Large quantities of sugar and other staples were gathered in sacks, preparing them for the packing stage. Packing Volunteers separated the sourced items into individual food packs. Onions, dry goods and other staples were packed to meet the needs of each family. This stage was one of the most labor-intensive parts of the campaign, ensuring the packs were prepared to match each family's needs. Distribution The prepared food packs were delivered directly to families in need. Children and mothers received the packs handed to them. This stage was where the campaign's impact became visible on families' faces — a tangible result of TDEX's ongoing work on the ground. Through this four-stage process, many families in Sudan were able to meet their basic food needs. TDEX continues its work in the region in a traceable and accountable way.
