As part of our Humanitarian Partnership for Those in Need, TDEX distributed sewing machines to women in Yemen, giving them the tools to start earning a stable income from home. Why sewing machines matter For many women, tailoring is a practical, in-demand skill. With a sewing machine of their own, they can take on paid work, support their families, and build long-term financial independence — not just receive one-time aid. What we did Our team set up a distribution and training session where women received sewing machines along with fabric and starter materials.
